2025-10-10 AIS/IMPORT PLUS – Introduction of the Requirement to Provide Data for the "Designated Contact Person"

The AIS/IMPORT PLUS system will require detailed contact information for the person designated for communication starting November 6, 2025. This change aims to improve the handling of submissions and notifications by enabling quicker contact between customs authorities and the submitting entity.

Effective from November 6, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
Required contact details include name, phone number, and email address.
The requirement is not yet mandated by EU regulations but has been proposed to the European Commission.
The new rule is identified as R.1064.I.A.
Initiative driven by customs authorities to streamline communication.
