New regulations affecting the SENT system for the clothing and footwear industry will come into effect on June 20, 2026. These changes will reduce reporting obligations for certain transports, streamlining processes for businesses in these sectors.
- Two regulations from the Minister of Finance and Economy were published on June 18, 2026.
- Reporting obligations for clothing and footwear transports are being limited.
- Exemptions apply to domestic sales, intra-community deliveries, exports outside the EU, and humanitarian aid transports.
- Minimum reporting thresholds for clothing have increased from 10 kg to 31.5 kg, and for footwear from 20 to 64 pieces.
- Monitoring obligations remain for high-risk transports, such as imports from third countries.
