2026-04-29 Customs Duty Security for Goods in Shipments Worth Up to 150 EUR from July 1, 2026

Starting July 1, 2026, customs duties will apply to shipments valued up to 150 EUR due to a new EU regulation. Importers using AIS/e-COMMERCE and AIS/IMPORT PLUS must provide security details in their customs declarations if they opt for a payment method that requires securing the amount due.
- New regulation: Council (EU) 2026/382, effective July 1, 2026.
- Customs duty of 3 EUR per item for shipments valued up to 150 EUR.
- Importers must have a general security permit and registered GRN for customs clearance.
- Application for the permit must be submitted via PUESC using form WDCGU01.
- Existing permits must be verified for adequacy to cover customs duties.
