Mandatory Use of the French ELO Web Service from April 20, 2026

The European Commission has announced that the use of the ELO (Enveloppe Logistique Obligatoire) web service will be mandatory for trade with Great Britain starting April 20, 2026. This requirement includes the submission of at least one data entry for the import declaration in ELO when ICS2 regulations apply.

Mandatory use of ELO begins on April 20, 2026.
Operators must submit at least one data entry for the import declaration in ELO under ICS2 rules.
Information materials are available in English on the French Customs portal.
Registration on the French Customs portal is required for ELO submission.
