The NCTS2 PLUS system will implement automatic validation for documents required for the transit of fluorinated greenhouse gases (f-gases) and ozone-depleting substances (ODS) starting March 16, 2026. This validation will ensure compliance with EU regulations and streamline the transit process for businesses involved in these substances.

Automatic checks will verify registration on the F-gas Portal as mandated by Regulation 2024/573.
For ODS, a license from the ODS Licensing System is required as per Regulation 2024/590.
The NCTS2 PLUS system will check specific data in transit declarations, including identification numbers and mass of gases.
Additional checks will be implemented for various document codes related to f-gases and ODS.
