The Norwegian customs service is implementing new digital procedures for crossing the border due to the increasing flow of goods. The Digitoll system will automate the border crossing process and improve customs control, eliminating the previous flexibility of registering goods up to 10 days after arrival.
- Phase 1: Reporting obligation in Digitoll starts on February 1, 2026.
- Phase 2: Digital declaration must be submitted upon arrival at the border starting September 1, 2026.
- Direct transport system will cease to be used from September 1, 2026.
- More information can be found on the Digitoll website.
