2025-09-04 Obligation of businesses to use the AIS/ICS2 system for maritime and inland transport

As of October 13, 2025, the AIS/ICS system will no longer accept Import Short Declarations (PDS) for maritime and inland transport. Businesses must comply with the new requirement to submit PDS exclusively through the AIS/ICS2 system to avoid customs clearance issues.

  • Full implementation of the EU ICS2 program is underway.
  • Businesses not adhering to the new PDS submission rule risk delays in customs clearance.
  • The AIS/ICS system will cease to process PDS from October 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
  • Publication date of the announcement is September 4, 2025.
