The Council Regulation (EU) 2026/382, published on February 18, 2026, amends Regulation (EC) No 1186/2009 by abolishing the exemption from customs duties for low-value shipments. This regulation will take effect on July 1, 2026, and introduces a customs duty of 3 EUR per item for shipments valued up to 150 EUR under certain conditions.
